So I don’t know how many of you are familiar with the roots of Halloween. I’d like to hope most of you. But traditionally, it is a night for thinking about the year’s dead. And I figured we might start doing that tradition here, because why not? There are people we can talk about, and honestly where else are we going to find people who sympathize with how personal these deaths are to us?
Since last Samhain (pronounced approximately “sawwen,” for those of you who’ve never heard it said), I’ve written fourteen obituaries, and honestly there were plenty more people where I was like, “Yeah, I don’t have five paragraphs in me about this person today” or whatever. (And any time any of you feel like picking up the slack, I’m a-okay with sharing obituary duties!) I’ll list their names here, and we can feel free to talk about them, or others, in the comments.
