Scott Tobias, Genevieve Koski, Keith Phipps, Rachel Handler, and Tasha Robinson. These are just some of the critics whom we have all greatly respected and admired during their various tenures at both The A.V.Club and the recently departed The Dissolve (three months RIP). It goes without saying that we here at The Solute have tried our best to emulate the former site and its creators, carrying the spirit that that website left behind. Well good news befell upon us today when Scott made this announcement over twitter:

Yes! It’s the semi-triumphant return of The Dissolve podcast, now with a sparkly new title, The Next Picture Show. The show seems to be conjoining one of The Dissolve’s key features, The Movie of the Week, with a parallel to a recently released picture. This week they’re looking at All of the President’s Men in parallel with the upcoming Spotlight. I personally am thrilled in that I have actually seen this movie, (back in high school when I was on the school paper), so I will totally not be lost for once in the discussion.
