New on DVD and Blu-Ray

This is not a big or even a very good week on any front in home video (maybe entertainment companies realize that people will probably be too paralyzed to leave their houses this week), but there are still definitely some goodies to be had. For one, Criterion is releasing their box set of the Lone Wolf and Cub series on Blu-Ray this week, timed just right for the Criterion sale, and you can probably get away with just buying it from this week’s titles (not that you shouldn’t own Bubba Ho-Tep, of course). Otherwise, Sony continues to churn out Frank Capra titles on Blu-Ray with Mr. Deeds Goes to Town, while also releasing the entirely un-Capraesque (and Megan Ellison-financed!) Sausage Party, there are not one, but three mediocre seasons of TV shows out (plus Daredevil season 1, which may even be a fourth, depending on who you ask), and Lionsgate puts out the excellent Philip Roth adaptation (not a common phrase, and made even less common in the last few weeks) Indignation and this year’s A24 hidden gem Morris From America.
