Alongside more Peter Greenaway restorations and Criterion Terry Gilliam 4Ks (that makes three in one year, hopefully this easy money will shore up whatever financial problems they’ve been having), this week we get a reissue of a real “they don’t make ’em like this anymore” classic, Richard Lester’s stripped-down disaster movie Juggernaut. Steven Soderbergh has spent the better part of his Hollywood career trying to make movies this dry, this process-focused, and this tense, and sometimes he’s even succeeded.
