A light week elevated significantly by Criterion finally bringing Douglas Sirk’s Written on the Wind and its all-timer Dorothy Malone performance to Blu-Ray. Otherwise, offers the latest from two cinematic nepotism cases, Gia Coppola and Jason Reitman. I haven’t heard many good words for Coppola’s Face in the Crowd update Mainstream, but at least it’s not the true mercenary exercise of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, whose existence is a testament to all the worst parts of modern studio filmmaking.
