This week brings two of the more necessary Criterion rescues in recent memory, finally putting Jennie Livingston’s landmark documentary Paris is Burning back in-print and on Blu-Ray and finally giving U.S. Blu-Rays to the mad works of Czech fantasist Karel Zeman. Not to be outdone, Kino has restored eight of Maya Deren’s films, including Meshes of the Afternoon, and is releasing them on Blu-Ray. And not to be outdone by either of those things, Shout Factory is releasing Pet Sematary Two, the movie that didn’t even have the decency to call itself Pet Sematary Too.
