- This week, Northwest Film Forum is showing The Strange Little Cat, the German movie about a family of 10 in Berlin
- Through Monday, NWFF is also showing Heli, the Mexican film about a family caught up in the drug war
- Tonight, Aug 15, Seattle’s LGBT Film Festival group, Three Dollar Bill Cinema, is continuing their summer movies in the park series with Clueless. It’s free, but it is also a fundraiser, so bring some money to donate and/or to buy snacks.
- This week, The Grand Illusion is showing Level Five, a documentary on a female programmer who lost her lover while making a game about a battle in WWII. It is a restoration of a little known film from 1997.
- The Dog continues on Friday and Saturday only
- Thursday, they have scheduled a free showing of the VHS classic Scream for Help (trailer is a must see) to rally support for Scarecrow’s Kickstarter (to which they added a stretch goal of adding new, rare, blus)
- Snowpiercer lives on at the Uptown all week
- To Be Takei begins this week
- As does Life After Beth
- Burkholder continues through Sunday in the daytime. And, Rich Hill also has the 2:00pm showing through Sunday
- Monday has a special showing of Hank and Asha
- Wednesday brings us VHS night with Heavenly Bodies
